Welcome to the District 6 information page. Middletown VFW Post 1170 is only one of the 11 VFW Posts that compose District 6 in the Department of Kentucky. District 6 is defined as all VFW Posts in Trimble, Jefferson, Oldham and Bullitt Counties. Jefferson County includes the Greater Louisville area, while the other mentioned counties border the Greater Louisville area. District 6 boasts nearly 5,000 VFW members. For 6th District minutes click here! The 2009-20010 District Commander is Billy Garwood. District Meetings are held monthly on the first Sunday of the month, at 2PM. After the meeting, we share a meal and some camaraderie. All VFW members are welcome and encouraged to attend. We normally have a carpool from Middletown VFW Post 1170 to the District 6 meetings. This is an excellent opportunity for those who may not be able to drive at night to attend a VFW meeting and stay involved. NOTE: Post Names that appear in BLUE, have additional information including directions available by clicking on post's name. All meetings start at 2PM unless noted in remarks section.
